ISRO Budget : Modi vs Manmohan

Whats unusual is the drop in revised budget in 2o11 to ₹4.4k crore . then the budget is revised to 2010 levels in 2012. Manmohan Singh produced his final budget in 2014 interim budget at ₹5826 crore. Hence in Manmohan Singhs 10 years ISRO budget went from ₹2540 crore to ₹5826 crore , resulting in a increase of about ₹3286 crore over 10 years.
Narendra Modi too in his 2014 budget allocated the same amount of money . Then started what looks like some aggressive ramping up of budgets . Every year has seen a minimum of ₹1000 crore increase in budget allocation . In 2018 we say an almost ₹2000 crore increase in the budget . ISRO’s budget increased almost ₹6,647 crore over 6 years which is impressive .
ISRO Budget vs NASA budget vs ESA vs Roscosmos vs JAXA vs CNSA
NASA has the highest budget among all the space Agencies at a record 22.6 billion dollars and they might get more for the Artemis moon mission. ESA , europe’s space agency has a budget of around 6.4 billion dollars and they have got around 14 billion dollars more for the next few years or so they too looking good . Japanese a space agency has around 1.6 million dollars which is surprising things are there some really high profile missions done including the recent asteroid mission and also a partner of the International Space Station. Roscosmos space agency gets around 3.3 billion and China space agency gets around 8.4 billion . Take all this numbers with a grain of salt since countries like China Russia don’t leave their budgets easily and it’s difficult to get the number. ISRO coming at 1.8 billion dollars you can see that although the budget is less achievements and not less by any chance with ISRO doing things other space agencies are yet to do .
